This is your invitation to
take a pilgrimage
into your Heart
Join me in the Sacred Valley of Peru, May 2024, for an awakening and heart-opening journey
into the Essence of your Being.

This offering is a sacred space for personal growth and transformation, trauma integration, emotional healing and spiritual awakening. For eight days of this retreat, you will be held and supported by plant medicines and integrative practices that, for the past decade of my own life, have hugely contributed to my growth, healing and transformation.

Our journey will include daily somatic and embodiment-oriented movement sessions, self-inquiry practices, TCM-informed Yin Yoga, Breathwork, cacao ceremonies, learning with a wisdom keeper, and my teacher, from the Q’ero Nation (the last descendants of the Incas), massages, hikes in nature and the centerpiece - two all day ceremonies with the Andean master plant, San Pedro.

About San Pedro
San Pedro (also called Huachuma) has been used ceremonially as a sacred plant medicine by a number of pre-Columbine cultures for at least 3,000 years, in the South American Andes. Its use has remained part of the culture in the Andean shamanism up to the present day. The ceremonial use of San Pedro in Peru is not only legal but also recognized and protected as national heritage.
This bright green cactus is a wonderful, generous teacher that can help us perceive our self-created barriers and limitations, while also greatly aiding us in the process of opening and connecting with our hearts.
Over the past decade of my own healing journeys and plant medicine studies, I have found San Pedro to be a profound healer. The ceremonies are day-long and an outdoors experience that can be truly transformative. The San Pedro cactus contains the alkaloid mescaline and other derivates of phenethylamine with entheogenic properties. It can catalyze profound changes of perception, deep insight, emotional healing, mental clarity, connectedness and spiritual awakening.
During the retreat we will be sharing two ceremonies, with a great focus on appropriate preparation and integration - all through the mind-body-heart practices, supportive cacao ceremonies, embodiment-oriented body work, sound healing and more.
The two ceremonies during this retreat will be held by my husband, Al, an experienced medicine facilitator and space holder with over a decade of continuous service in the realm of plant medicine healing. Al will also make the medicine for our ceremonies himself, using sustainably and locally harvested cactus.

Retreat Testimonials
My heart is full of gratitude to Marta, Al and to everyone else who facilitated and co-created in our recent retreat.
Working with any plant medicine requires respect, trust and surrender. Marta and Al created a safe container which meant I felt at ease and supported at all times, even prior to arriving in the Sacred Valley. This meant that I was able to give myself over to the entire experience - not just in ceremony, but to everything that came up for me during that week too. The retreat schedule was thoughtfully arranged, and well balanced between nourishment (through the delicious food, yoga, massage, sound healing and plenty of time for rest) and preparation for ceremony (through breath work, meditation, group exercises and self reflection).
Of course, experiences during ceremony crystallise so differently for everyone but for me, this was the most grounded and powerful I have ever felt during medicine work. Over a month later, I am still receiving downloads and insights, and I have been able to set new boundaries and choose new behaviours for myself since arriving home. There has also been an invitation to not forget expansiveness of being, and the inherent light that exists within.
Marta, Al - thank you for your wisdom, grace, strength, guidance and humour, and the enlightened space you held for us all. I am deeply humbled by the time I spent in Peru, and remain in awe of our ability to heal together in communion with nature.

Marta and Al hold the most nourishing space where you really feel that you are able to receive wholeheartedly. I am grateful to have spent that week with them. I thought the schedule was well planned out with a beautiful balance of down time for rest, integration, embodiment, and reflection. Truly an amazing experience for my first time sitting with Grandfather Wachuma, and in the Sacred Valley! What a gift.
